- The App is designed for local camera, photo, text, and scene translation.

Information the App processes
Camera images and selected photos
When you scan a sign, document, menu, product label, or scene, the App processes the camera frame or photo you select to detect and translate text. Camera frames that you do not save are used for the active translation session.
Face data and facial information
Offline Camera Translator does not collect face data or biometric facial information. The App does not extract facial features, facial landmarks, face geometry, faceprints, facial templates, or other biometric identifiers from camera images or selected photos. It does not perform facial recognition, identify individuals by their faces, or build facial profiles.
Purpose and use. Camera and photo access is used for text recognition and translation, not for collecting or analyzing faces. If a face happens to appear in a camera frame or a photo you select, the image is processed locally on your device for text recognition and translation only. The App does not extract or use the face as facial or biometric data, including for identification, authentication, advertising, profiling, or model training.
Sharing and storage. We do not upload, transmit, disclose, sell, or share face data with any third party, including analytics providers, advertisers, or AI service providers. No face data or facial templates are stored by the App on your device, on our servers, or on third-party servers. A photo that happens to contain a face remains ordinary image content subject to your own save, export, or share choices; it is not converted into a facial record.
Retention and deletion. Because no face data is collected or created, there is no face-data retention period and no stored facial record to delete. Unsaved camera frames and temporary image-processing data are released when the active session ends or the App closes. If you choose to save an image that includes a face, you can delete that image from the App, Photos, or Files, as applicable. Copies you export or back up remain subject to the destination's deletion and backup settings, as explained in Section 06.
Recognized text and translations
The App processes text detected in an image or text you type or paste. Translation results may be displayed, copied, exported, or saved only when you choose those actions.
Language and App preferences
The App may store source and target language selections, display preferences, downloaded language resources, and other functional settings on your device so the App works as expected.
Support communications
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, attachments you choose to include, and related correspondence. The App does not require an account or collect your name, phone number, contacts, precise location, or social profile.

You can refuse or revoke permissions in iOS Settings. Camera translation will not work without Camera access; photo import will not work without the relevant Photos or Files access. Typed-text translation remains available where supported.
How long information is kept

Access, deletion, and control
- Manage Camera, Photos, and Files permissions in iOS Settings.
- Delete saved items inside the App or from the storage location where you exported them.
- Remove the App and its data through iOS to delete locally stored App content.
- Manage device or iCloud backups in your Apple account settings.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete support correspondence by emailing contact@yuzhilintech.com with the subject “Offline Translator Privacy Request.”
We will complete a verified privacy request within 30 days, unless applicable law requires a different period.
Security
Keeping translation inputs on the device reduces unnecessary transmission. We also limit support access and use reasonable safeguards for communications we receive. No device, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 through the App. A parent or guardian may contact us to request review or deletion of support information.
Legal requirements and business changes
We may preserve or disclose support information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or a valid legal request, protect users or our rights, investigate fraud or a security incident, or establish or defend legal claims. If the App transfers as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale, relevant support records may transfer subject to this policy or notice of a materially different policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when App features, permissions, legal requirements, or data practices change. The latest version will remain at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date. If a change materially expands data collection or sharing, we will provide notice and request permission where required.
